Pakistani workers arrive in Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS), provided for by the MOU signed between the Governments of Pakistan and RoK. RoK has such an agreement with 14 other labour sending countries. Under the EPS system, which is considered a more transparent system, the workers are first required to pass the Korean language test, followed by exchange of roster of successful candidates between Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) of Pakistan and Human Resources Development Services of Korea (HRD), and final selection by prospective employers in Korea. Hence, final selection is dependent upon preferences of employers. Workers usually arrive in 1 or 2 batches per week in Korea.
