The third meeting of the Pakistan-Korea Joint Trade Committee (JTC) was held on Wednesday to discuss bilateral trade and economic issues.
The Pakistani delegation was led by Mr. Muhammad Humair Karim, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce while the Korean side was led by Chun Yoonjong, Director General International Trade Relations, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Mr. Suh Sangpyo, South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, and Ms. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan’s Ambassador to South Korea, also attended the talks.
The talks focussed on expansion of bilateral trade and investment and development of institutional linkages between the two countries in the economic domain. They agreed to renew the bilateral MOU on Trade and Investment and to sign an MOU on cooperation between trade promotion agencies of the two countries.
Pakistani delegation included representatives of Ministries of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Water & Power, Ministry of Industries and Production, Ministry of Federal Education, Board of Investment, Federal Board of Revenue, Professional Training, and Trade Development Authority Pakistan.
