EPS Program
Pakistani workers come to Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS). EPS is a government to government arrangement that allows Korean employers to hire un-skilled/non-professional foreign workers legally. Pakistani workers are only allowed to work in manufacturing sector under this MOU. Pakistan competes with 15 other labor sending countries for the announced annual quota for EPS workers. Each country is allotted quota based on its performance on a given criteria.
