Embassy of Pakistan observes Kashmir Yaum-e-Istehsaal
Embassy of Pakistan to the Republic of Korea is today observing Kashmir Yaum-e-Istehsaal.
An event to mark the occasion and to express support and solidarity with the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was held at the Embassy. It was attended by young Pakistani and Korean opinion makers, bloggers and social media influencers. The event started with a one-minute silence to pay homage to the martyrs in IIOJK followed by videos, songs, poems and stories highlighting the suffering of Kashmiris in IIOJK.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch spoke about the significance of commemorating Yaum-e-Istehsal when India took the illegal and unilateral action to alter the status of internationally recognized disputed status of IIOJK. These actions were in violation of international law and UNSC resolutions. The international community has rejected illegal actions of India which stands exposed as a threat to regional peace and stability. She said Pakistan would continue to stand on the side of justice and international law.
Ambassador gave an account of the suffering of Kashmiris living under the worst state of uninterrupted and brutal military siege and crackdown. She called on the participants to speak up for the dignity, rights and freedom of the people under occupation in IIOJK.
