Pakistan-Korea ICT cooperation Forum was held in Seoul co-organized by Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and Embassy of Pakistan, Seoul.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch underlined the importance of building partnerships and linkages between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of ICT. She said governments, businesses and educational institutions are all looking for ICT solutions for their future. In this new reality, ICT sector has assumed greater significance than ever before. She expressed the hope that the Forum would mark the beginning of establishing deeper and meaningful linkages for long-term ICT collaboration.
The Forum discussed cooperation and development opportunities in ICT/SW Industry. Presentations were made by Mr. Imran Razzaq, Trade & Investment Counselor, Mr. Kim Taeyeol, Vice President of National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), Mr. Osman Nasir, Managing Director of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Mr. Jong Sun Baik, Managing Director of Korea IT Service Industry Association (ITSA) and Mr. Barkan Saeed, Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association P@SHA).
Following the presentations, open discussion was held where the two sides discussed at length potential areas of collaboration.
